2009 Wilson Dover and District Tennis League

League

Our Mixed Doubles A team came 5th, out of 6 in Division 1, with Herne Bay being relegated.   This was a notable achievement for a club of our size, as the remaining teams in the Division have far more players, and greater resources.   We will again be competing in this division.

Our Mixed Doubles B team came last of 5 teams in Division 3, but had some very close games, which could well have gone their way on other occasions, and they achieved a well deserved and hard fought victory against Pfizer - another larger club with better resources. As Division 3 is the bottom division, our B team will again be competing in it.

Our Ladies' team had a much better season, coming 3rd out of 4, and scoring 12 points, including two emphatic 7 - 1 victories and a 4 - 4 draw against larger clubs.   They will again be competing in this division (there is only one for the ladies' teams).
